People of different body shapes wearing the same clothes. Different things made of glass by the same artist. Different leaves on the same tree. What have all these got in common? Are we critical about unique glass vessels that are marked with the artist’s fingerprints, or leaves of different shapes, in the same way we sometimes feel towards people who don’t fit our standards of ‘normality’? What are the limits of our tolerance of others? Maybe we actually are all leaves on the same tree or glass vessels in the hands of a single artist? These questions will be tackled by well-known Lithuanian clothes designer Julija Janulaitytė, the visionary behind the Julia Janus brand, and the Polish glass artist Agnieszka Bar, both of whom are co-authors of the exhibition Us. This artistic collaboration between the two will be a prominent feature of this year’s Design Week Lithuania.
Open May 5–8, opening May 5, 4 p.m.
