Shapes of Hungary

Special guest of DESIGN WEEK LITHUANIA 2016 –  Studio of Young Designers Association FISE from Hungary. During the festival our guests will present a tasty bit choice from the contemporary Hungarian design under the brand: Shapes of Hungary. In the exhibition prize-winner objects that were appreciated both internationally and by the Hungarian design scene will be presented at Užupis art incubator’s gallery „Galera“ (Užupio g. 2, Vilnius). The exhibition will be open May 3 – 7 and official opening event will be held on May 3rd, 7 PM.

Hungarian design was reborn at the turn of the millennium and now it is in its prime. It seems to be in its ever best condition, full of creativity, ideas and various lines. Exhibition organizers are glad to introduce their way of thinking about design and their technical solutions motivated by the tradition of skilled handicraft but produced on the innovative base of technology. The exhibition lately were presented in such cities as London, Vienna, Barcelona and now Hungarian design products will arrive to the Baltic-Scandinavian region – to Vilnius, as a guest of the DESIGN WEEK LITHUANIA 2016.

More than 20 young Hungarian designers and their work of graphic design, costume design, jewelry, industrial, interior design, architecture will be exhibited. Attention will be also paid to the usage of organic materials for the design objects. Presented design items skillfully combines art, design, science and new technologies as well as reflect Hungarian way of life.
